I created this small acrylic painting on wood (5" x 7") back in 2010; I sold it in 2011.
I am just now posting it, because I need to get motivated to update my blog.
I see this as a derisive self-portrait. Much like Picasso, I see my self as a brute sometimes...destined to blunder through life....bringing unexpected anguish on others.
Despite my aging facade I still feel young...and foolish. My exterior is well-worn, but my psyche is still child like...perhaps childish more often than I want to admit.
I keep thinking that all that I have observed, all that I have experienced will temper my judgements with prudence and finesse...not so. I will most likely continue along my adolescent ascent :)
